Louisiana Swamp

A research-through-design piece inspired by the Atchafalaya Basin’s cypress landscapes, wet textures, layered vegetation, and vulnerable wetland ecosystem.

Grounded in biophilic design thinking, the work draws on natural references to rebuild emotional connection and respect between humans and nature while highlighting the fashion industry’s environmental responsibilities.

The design translates swamp qualities—depth, moisture, movement, reflection, and quiet danger—into silhouette, material, and surface.
